Rosemary Lavender Body Scrub

Now, I know I don’t have to go into the depths of sorrow writing about how detrimental it can be to put chemicals on our skin. How our skin is our largest organ, is highly permeable and often a very easy route for chemicals to enter our bloodstream, easily causing cellular destruction.

So, instead I’m just going to get on and tell you about how excited I am to share my new natural 5-minute body scrub with you!!

I have made other body scrubs in the past but this creamy luxurious lavender scrub is by far my ultimate favourite!!

Not only does it leave my skin feeling silky smooth, it is the perfect vitamin C refresher to help cleanse the skin and clear acne. Along with cleansing and mineral rich sea salts, it’s the perfect way to help activate our body’s natural healing mechanisms.

The perfect way to start or complete any day!

I love this recipe in particular because once the salt is coated in oil, it doesn’t absorb the lemon. This allows for a secret little citrus splash each time you dip into the jar.

Soothe the skin, cleanse the body and relax the mind 🙂

So good I could almost eat it (and I really could!).

Lemon, Lavender and Rosemary Body Scrub

1 cup sea salt (I used “Maldon”)

Maldon Sea Salt

1/2 cup cold pressed olive oil

1 tsp pure lavender essential oil or 3 tbsp dried lavender buds

1 lemon, squeezed

zest from lemon

1 medium sprig of rosemary

2 tsp raw bush honey

Add oils to the sea salt and combine. Add lemon juice with grated zest and last mix through honey and then rosemary.

Combine in vita mix for smoother texture and set in a small jar with an airtight lid.

I hope you love this recipe as much as I do!! I use this scrub daily and it always leaves me naturally scented and smiling!

Always nourish your body and soul,
